Description
The Chardonnay Riserva Burgum Novum from the Castelfeder winery is a wine that embodies authenticity and rootedness, taking its name from the Latin village "Neumarkt". The vineyards are located in Bassa Atesina in Alto Adige and are characterized by soils of calcareous gravel of moraine sediments, cultivated with the Guyot cultivation system.
The winemaking process includes an alcoholic fermentation in steel followed by 18 months of maturation in barrique, accompanied by a malolactic fermentation. Subsequently the wine is aged for 6 months in steel and a further 6 months in the bottle; method that improves its structure.
The bouquet of this wine offers mineral notes, banana, apple and nuts; while on the palate it is well structured, with a pronounced salinity and a nice acidity. The combination of these characteristics creates a complex and harmonious flavor profile.
Chardonnay Riserva Burgum Novum is ideal for accompanying grilled vegetables, cheeses, fish and white meat.
