Südtirol - Alto Adige DOC Cabernet Merlot Riserva Flora Cuvée 2021 Girlan

The Flora Cuvée Cabernet Merlot Riserva comes from the Oltradige hills in the Girlan area and from Bassa Atesina. The grapes are grown at an altitude of 450-500 meters above sea level in well-ventilated vineyards, with sandy, warm and deep soils which form the qualitative basis of this cuvée of character.

The harvest takes place manually in small containers to guarantee the integrity of the grapes during transport to the cellar. After destemming, the must is transferred by gravity into stainless steel vats where it ferments for 18-20 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 20 months in small oak barrels (barrique) and a further 8 months in the bottle before being marketed as a Reserve.

The wine has an intense and vinous ruby red, very pleasant on the palate. On the nose, light balsamic notes of rosemary and thyme are perceived. On the palate, it is an important table wine, with good structure and persistence.

Particularly suitable to accompany roasts, game and spicy local cheeses.
