Description

Cabernet Riserva Burgum Novum is a fine wine produced by Castelfeder, a winery from Alto Adige. This wine is made only in high quality vintages, using selected grapes from excellent vineyards in Bassa Atesina. The vines are found on soils rich in limestone and porphyry.

Winemaking begins with a manual harvest of the grapes. Then the wine ferments in stainless steel tanks before aging in barrique for 18 months. After this phase it refines further for 6 months in steel tanks and then for another 6 months in the bottle. This rigorous aging process ensures integration of flavors and structure.

At sight this wine has an intense garnet red color. Notes of cassis and cranberries emerge on the nose, which blend with velvety tannins and an elegant structure. On the palate it is full-bodied and reveals a long and persistent finish, the balanced tannic structure gives this wine a pleasant sensation of softness.

Cabernet Riserva Burgum Novum is an ideal pairing for red meat dishes, grilled vegetables and cheeses.
