Description

This Pinot Noir Riserva comes from the Girlan microzone, in Alto Adige DOC. The grapes are grown at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level on poor, gravelly soils, formed by moraine deposits on volcanic porphyritic rock.

The ripe grapes are harvested by hand in mid-September and transported in small containers. After destemming, fermentation takes place in steel vats for 25 days. Subsequently, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged in barrique for 20 months, followed by further refinement in the bottle for 18 months.

At sight, the wine has an intense ruby red. On the nose, aromas of berries, black cherries and a pronounced herbal spiciness are perceived. On the palate, the wine is elegant and voluminous, with a complex structure and well-developed and savory tannins, offering a refined and persistent tasting experience.

Perfect to accompany main dishes based on red meat, roasts and game, it is also excellent with mature cheeses.
