Südtirol - Alto Adige DOC Merlot-Lagrein Graf 2022 Kellerei Meran Burggräfler

The Merlot-Lagrein of the Graf line is a red wine produced by Cantina Merano with a blend of Merlot and Lagrein grapes grown in the areas of Lagundo and Merano, at an altitude of between 300 and 400 meters. The vines, aged between 10 and 20 years, grow on light, permeable soils of moraine origin, with a limited yield to guarantee excellent quality.

The winemaking process begins with a temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation in wide-mouthed vats, where the must is stirred for about 10 days. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages in new and used barriques or small oak barrels, a process that helps develop structure and complexity.

With an intense dark ruby red color, this wine has a rich bouquet with hints of berries, vanilla and coffee. On the palate it stands out for its velvety tannins, good persistence and a perfect harmony between the fruity and spicy notes.

Perfect when paired with game, classic meat-based recipes and mature cheeses, enriching each dish with its strong and enveloping character.
