Stellenbosch WO The Reserve White 2021 Morgenster

Morgenster's Reserve White is a refined expression of the Stellenbosch territory, the result of a harmonious blend between Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. This varietal combination reflects Morgenster Estate's dedication to creating wines that speak to the richness and diversity of its soil.

Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature. The 8-month refinement in French oak barrels, using new, second and third passage barrels, helps shape the distinctive character of this wine, emphasizing its complexity and balanced structure.

Visually it has a golden yellow color embellished with green reflections. The nose opens with intense notes of citrus fruits and almonds, followed by nuances of gooseberries and quinces, closing with a floral hint. On the palate, the wine is elegant, fresh and with excellent acidity which guarantees excellent aging potential. The finish is soft and medium weight, characterized by a well-balanced flavor.

This wine pairs beautifully with vegetable tempura, grilled fish but also feathered game, underlining its versatility.
