Description

Meerlust's Stellenbosch Pinot Noir comes from vineyards located in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

It is obtained from pure Pinot Noir grapes, harvested and selected only by hand once they have reached perfect ripeness. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Subsequently, the wine is partly aged in new Allier oak barrels and partly in second passage oak barrels for 12 months, before being bottled.

It has a bright red color with intense purple reflections. The nose opens with hints of red fruit and spices, enriched by pleasant notes of musk and undergrowth. On the palate it is fresh, elegant and full, with soft tannins and a pleasant minerality on the finish.

Ideal in combination with grilled or roasted meats, aged cheeses and cold cuts, this wine is perfect with dishes based on mushrooms and fish.
