Description
Ribolla Gialla Plus by Bastianich comes from the family-owned vineyards located on the hills of Cividale del Friuli, in the province of Udine.
The star of the show is the Ribolla Gialla grape variety, hand-harvested with only 2-3% of grapes selected for appassimento (partial grape desiccation). The grapes are gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks for 8–10 days. It then undergoes secondary fermentation in a pressurized tank for 3–4 months.
This sparkling wine immediately catches the eye, which provides a backdrop for a compact and intense foam. The nose offers an extract of yellow flowers and macerated apricot, and fruit preserved in spirits. On the palate, carbon dioxide fills the mouth and highlights the fruit, leaving it harmoniously fresh and clean.
An excellent aperitif, it finds a delightful harmony with a seafood risotto or an oven-baked fish dish.
