Description

Pinotage is a grape variety typical of the Worcester area. At 140 km from Cape Town, the Cape Dream winery puts its land and modern technologies at the service of this wine, drawing an expression faithful to tradition.

Pinotage grapes derive from a cross between Cinsault and Pinot Nero, made in the first half of the 1900s. The Cape Dreams vineyards are located at an altitude varying between 350 and 400 meters, with optimal exposure to light and ventilation. The harvest takes place manually allowing you to implement a selection of the best bunches in the field. Following alcoholic fermentation, the wine ages in steel containers.

It is presented in a ruby red colour. The nose gives way to intense notes of red fruits, humus and coffee, softened by a trail of sweet violet. The taste is enveloping and supported by a good structure. It is rightly tannic and fresh, with a persistence of the red fruit in closing.

To be combined with a beef escalope.
