Description

Gin Canaima is a Venezuelan project that aims to enhance the unique botanicals of the Amazon Forest and goes hand in hand with the fight against deforestation. Its mystical and ancestral character derives from the knowledge about local fruits and herbs handed down by the Pernon Indians from generation to generation.

Among the botanicals we find the merey, the ammazonic cashew, the açai, a berry with well-known antioxidant properties, the seje, the fruit of the Amazon palm, and then again the tùpiro, a South American solanacea, the grape de palma, that is the fruit of the Moriche palm and copoazú, a close relative of cocoa. Each of it is distilled separately in copper pot still, followed by blending and new distillation in batches of 500 litres.

With a transparent and crystalline appearance, it offers citrus and wet grass hints to the nose, mixed with earthy aromas and aromatic spices. In the mouth it confirms the sensations perceived on the nose, with the addition of tropical and rambutan sensations, for a multifaceted and overall soft and balanced flavour.

It is great for making amazing cocktails such as Amazonian G&G, with the addition of grapefruit soda and 2 squeezed lime wedges.
