Description

The Yamazaki is a flagship Japanese Single Malt Whisky, produced by the historic Suntory distillery, located in Shimamoto, Osaka Prefecture. Opened in 1923, the distillery is the first commercial whisky distillery in Japan. This whisky, introduced in 1984, marked an important milestone in the history of Japanese whisky, making it famous internationally.

Produced with selected malt and aged for 12 years in different types of casks, including Japanese, American and Spanish oak, this whisky boasts a meticulous distillation process that gives it complexity and aromatic depth. The Japanese artisanal expertise is reflected in every stage of production, ensuring an elegant and smooth distillate.

On the nose it presents refined floral notes, enriched by accents of tropical fruit and root. The sip is enveloping, with a delicate sweetness and a light citrus note, balanced by hints of tropical fruit. The finish is long and pleasantly persistent, making it ideal for a meditative tasting.

The Yamazaki 12 Years Old is perfect to enjoy neat, accompanied by a glass of water to enhance its complex and refined bouquet.
