Description
Disueri comes from the Nero d'Avola vineyards of Tenuta San Giacomo di Cusumano, located in Butera, in the province of Caltanissetta. The intense sunlight is crucial for an optimal ripening of the grapes. Furthermore, the calcareous soil of this area enhances the peculiarities of pleasantness and elegance of this emblematic vine of Sicily.
The grapes are harvested by hand in boxes in the first ten days of September and subjected to a phase of maceration at a low temperature. The must ferments in steel at a constant temperature of 28 ° C. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine rests on the fine lees for at least 5 months and further refines in the bottle.
The color of the wine is dark ruby red. The nose opens on fruity aromas of cherry, blackberry and violet. The attack on the palate is dry and balanced, rather warm and persistent.
It goes well with first courses and red meats, even roasted.
