Description
The Fondo Filara line in Nicosia is based on the principle that the finest autochthonous varieties of Sicily need the ideal place of cultivation in order to express themselves in the best way.
This pure Grillo is the result of a manual grape harvest with careful selection of the bunches, short cold maceration, soft pressing and fermentation for about 15-20 days at controlled temperature. The wine ages in stainless steel on its fine lees and then for another 2-3 months in bottle.
Brilliant straw yellow, it offers the nose an intriguing bouquet of citrus and aromatic herbs. In the mouth it is fresh and soft, with a long aromatic persistence.
Perfect to accompany fish, vegetables and fresh cheeses. Excellent with lobster and crustaceans in general.
