Description
The Fondo Filara line in Nicosia has the objective of identifying the most suitable place of cultivation to enhance the characteristics of the most valuable native varieties of Sicily. The Frappato grapes that give life to this wine come from the Bonincontro district, located in the Ragusa area of Vittoria.
The harvest takes place with careful selection of the bunches between the end of September and the beginning of October. Fermentation takes place with maceration for 15 days at controlled temperature. Once the malolactic fermentation is over, the wine ages in steel and finally in the bottle.
Ruby red in color with bright purple reflections, it expresses itself on the nose on fragrant notes of blackberry and blueberry, typical of the variety of origin. On the palate it is full, fresh and savory, with a velvety consistency.
Perfect both as an aperitif or in combination with a cheese and salami platter or pizza.
