Description
Sàgana represents one of the territorial wines of the famous Cusumano winery. It was born in the vineyards located on the San Giacomo estate, in the province of Caltanissetta.
Made exclusively with Nero d'Avola grapes, harvested manually in the first ten days of September, the must carries out the fermentation phase in steel for about 2 weeks. Subsequently, the wine finishes fermentation in 20hl barrels and ages in the same for 12 months. Bottle ageing follows.
It has an impenetrable ruby red color. The nose bears notes of cherry and blackberry, which are accompanied by interesting hints of violet and Mediterranean scrub. In the mouth, it is full and decidedly balanced, which makes it an extremely elegant wine.
Perfect with important dishes such as red meats, highly seasoned cheeses and high-quality cold cuts.
