Description
The Perricone di Castellucci Miano is a Sicilian red wine that is born on the slopes of the Madonie, in the northern part of Sicily, at an altitude of 700-900 masl
The wine is made from 100% Perricone grapes, which are harvested in mid-October. Once in the cellar they are vinified in red in thermo-controlled tanks, with pumping over. Subsequently the wine ages in steel for 3 months and in French oak barrels for 10 months, to conclude with 6 months in the bottle.
Intense ruby red in colour, the nose has hints of violet, red and black fruits, as well as darker notes of tobacco and licorice. The sip is full, with fine tannins and a long persistence.
Excellent to combine with a rich grilled meat.
