Description
Firriato's Nero d'Avola Harmonium Sicily was born in the vineyards of the Borgo Guarini estate, located in the municipality of Agro, in the province of Trapani.
It is produced exclusively from Nero d'Avola grapes, harvested and selected only by hand from the first to the second ten days of September. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 24-26 ° C for 14 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in French and American oak barrels for 12 months and in bottle for the following 6 months.
It has an intense and deep ruby red color with purple hues. The nose opens with evident notes of morello cherry, berries, rhubarb and plum, enriched with light spicy hints of cloves, aromatic herbs, licorice and tobacco leaves. On the palate it is soft and enveloping with an important tannic component and a pleasant final flavor.
Perfect to accompany robust dishes such as rigatoni with game ragout, risotto with porcini mushrooms, baked mutton and roe deer.
