Description

Grillo Malica by Cantine Birgi is a Sicilian white wine that best expresses the character of the warm and sunny lands of western Sicily. This wine is produced using 100% Grillo grapes, a native variety that stands out for its freshness and aroma. Its production takes place in the vineyards located in the Marsala area, where the Mediterranean climate favors the optimal ripening of the grapes, giving the wine a unique and lively profile.

The vinification involves a fermentation at a controlled temperature in steel tanks, to preserve the typical aromas and freshness of the vine. It is then refined in steel, which allows the wine to develop its fruity notes without losing its freshness. This production process is designed to enhance the qualities of Grillo, keeping its fragrance and balanced character intact.

On the nose it offers intense aromas of citrus and white peach, with delicate floral scents and herbaceous nuances. On the palate it is fresh and savoury, with good acidity that gives balance and a long and pleasantly persistent finish.

This white wine pairs excellently with grilled fish and seafood dishes, enhancing the freshness and marine flavours of the dishes.
