Description
The Grillo Bertolino Soprano by Mandrarossa is a Sicilian wine made from the native white grapes of Sicily, the Grillo.
The grapes are harvested during the first week of September. After cryomaceration for 5-6 hours, the grapes ferment in temperature-controlled steel vats for 15-20 days. Finally the wine ages in concrete tubs (tulips) for a month and in large barrels for 11 months.
In the glass it has a straw yellow color with golden reflections. The bouquet expresses intense fruity aromas of cedar and peach on a background of floral and herbaceous scents. On the palate it is fresh and sapid with excellent persistence.
Excellent to accompany legume soups and baked vegetables, but also roasted fish.
