Description
Benuara by Cusumano was born in the Presti e Pegni in the Monreale estate, in the province of Palermo, from the union of Nero d'Avola, a vine with a deep and complex character, and the international Syrah. The constant presence of sunlight ensures optimal ripening of the bunches.
The harvest takes place manually in different harvest periods, which coincide with the end of August for the Syrah and with the end of September for the Nero d'Avola. After a 2-day low-temperature maceration and fermentation carried out at a temperature between 26 and 28 °C, malolactic fermentation is carried out, and the wine is then sent to the ageing phase, for 80% in steel and for the 20% in barrel.
It develops a compact ruby red colour in the glass. Its bouquet is intense and fruity, characterized by hints of black cherry and berries, which leave room for spicy interventions of black pepper. The taste is fresh, soft and harmonious, with tailor-made tannins.
Excellent wine for red meats, especially if cooked on the grill.
