Description
Vernaccia Nera grapes carefully harvested and selected by hand, Pepato comes from medium-textured, sandy and calcareous soils, which give this lively wine excellent minerality. Vinification and aging take place in steel and aging in large barrels for 12 months.
It presents itself at the sight of a beautiful intense and lively ruby red color. The nose is complex, all played on the fruity hints of wild cherries and plums, embellished with notes of black pepper and a delicate balsamic nuance. On the palate the entrance is fresh and elegant, to then reveal itself in all its charm, with its sweet spices and delicate tannins.
Particular and characteristic character, it marries wonderfully savory and spicy dishes, from appetizers to meats. Excellent with a platter of aged cheeses.
