Description
Domaine Maurice Ecard's Savigny-Lès-Beaune Rouge comes from the vineyards surrounding the picturesque village of Savigny-lès-Beaune, in the north-west part of the Côte de Beaune, in the heart of the prestigious Burgundy wine region.
The Pinot Noir grapes undergo a pre-fermentation cold maceration at a controlled temperature, followed by a long fermentation. The wine then matures for 12 months in oak barriques.
It is characterized by a garnet red color. An elegant bouquet of flowers and red fruit precedes a structured and harmonious taste, enriched by velvety tannins that close on a finish that evokes pleasant, long-lasting toasted notes.
It is ideal in the company of cured hams, red meats, including spicy ones, and succulent game dishes.
