Description
This Sauternes wine is produced mainly from organically grown Sémillon grapes in the vineyards of Château Bordenave, located in Preignac, France. Its name comes from "new farm" and it is grown on sandy-gravel soil.
The vinification follows the traditional method, with selection of noble rot caused by Botrytis cinerea that enriches the grapes with sugars by evaporating the water, without causing damage. Then there is a 6-month refinement to improve the character of the wine.
It has a beautiful golden yellow color with silvery hues. The nose reveals floral aromas, candied exotic fruit, mango and white flowers. The palate is broad, balanced and complex, with notes of pineapple, toasted hazelnuts and acacia honey.
It goes well as an aperitif, it is perfect to accompany fruit desserts and blue cheeses.
