Sauternes AOC 2018 Château Lamothe-Guignard
Description
This Sauternes is produced by Château Lamothe-Guignard, whose history dates back to the 1800s.
The wine is composed of Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle grapes, vinified separately with indigenous yeasts and lasts from 2 to 4 weeks. The aging takes place in oak barrels and lasts 18-20 months.
Golden yellow in colour, the wine has a complex bouquet with aromas of apricots, mango and mandarin, to which are added notes of honey on the finish. The sip is opulent, with a good persistence.
It goes well with both seasoned and blue cheeses and dry pastries.
