Description
Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey, classified Premier Grand Cru in 1855, is located in the highest part of the village of Bommes. Bordering Château d'Yquem, its 18 hectares of vineyards are located on a mosaic of different terroirs that contribute to its unmistakable style and exceptional aromatic complexity.
The protagonist of the blend are the Sémillon grapes, with small additions of Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle. The harvest takes place following the attack of the noble mold Botrytis cinerea which concentrates the aromas and sugars of the grapes. Fermentation takes place for 25-30 days in French oak barriques. The refinement takes place for 10 months in barriques, a third of which are new, and for 8 months in stainless steel.
With a golden yellow color, it brings to the nose sophisticated and seductive sensations of citrus and acacia flowers that anticipate a fresh and well-balanced taste of innate elegance.
Perfect to pair with a terrine of foie gras to be served with an apricot compote, it is ideal with cakes and other desserts.
