Description
The Saumur Champigny Domaine C Vieilles Vignes from Domaine de Chaintres is a wine made from Cabernet Franc grapes grown on clay-limestone soils. The vines, with an average age of 50 years, are cared for according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, respecting the natural balance of the soil and the vineyard, located in the heart of the Loire, in France.
The harvest is done manually, with the whole grapes undergoing a maceration of about 21-24 days at low temperature. The refinement takes place in tanks for 6 months before the light filtration and final bottling, in order to maintain the freshness of this wine intact.
Intense aromas of red fruits emerge on the nose, with a crispy note that is also found on the palate. This wine is well balanced, with a pleasant freshness and a structure that makes it easy to drink, but at the same time elegant and persistent.
Domaine C Vieilles Vignes pairs perfectly with roasted or sauced meats.
