Description

The Sant'Antimo Cabernet Olmaia di Col d'Orcia comes from the renowned area of Montalcino, on the hills of Sant'Angelo in Colle. These vineyards benefit from a south/southwest exposure and hilly terrain ideal for producing Cabernet Sauvignon grapes of exceptional quality.

The grapes are harvested manually, allowing for a scrupulous selection of the best bunches, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Fermentation takes place in steel vats at a controlled temperature of 25°C. Followed by malolactic fermentation and aging for 18 months in medium toasted French and American oak barriques.

It has a deep ruby red color, embellished with violet reflections. The bouquet is complex and intriguing: notes of ripe fruit blend with accents of red pepper, vanilla, spices and an elegant toasted oak. On the palate the wine reveals a great structure, with a full and velvety taste.

It ideally accompanies roasts and mushroom-based dishes, as well as red meat second courses.
