Description
Mustilli's Sannio Aglianico is made with pure grapes from the vine of the same name harvested in the Pozzillo vineyard in the municipality of Sant'Agata dei Goti.
It comes from a fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature for about 2 weeks. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages in steel and for a small part in French oak tonneaux for 6 months, after which it ages for at least 3 months in the bottle.
It reveals itself in the glass with a deep ruby red color with purple hues. The nose reveals in succession intense hints of sour cherry, black cherry, myrtle and black pepper. On the palate it is dry and savory, full and tannic, with spicy and ripe fruit returns.
It goes very well with soups, first courses and red meats.
