Description
Sangue di Giuda Siliquastro by Calatroni was born in a micro zone of Oltrepò Pavese, from vineyards located on clay and limestone soils which give the product interesting taste characteristics.
It is produced with Croatina, Barbera and Uva Rara grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. The must, obtained by soft pressing of the grapes at controlled pressure, ferments with maceration on its skins. This is followed by a pressurized tank transfer of steel in which the base wine is sent to the second fermentation and micro-filtration before being bottled, where the product remains to refine before being placed on the market.
This Sangue di Giuda appears intense red with delicious purple hues, and with an exuberant foam. The nose shows intriguing hints of red fruit jam, which open the doors to a sweet and clean sip, slightly sparkling.
This sweet wine is perfect to integrate in the preparation of sangria. It goes wonderfully with puff pastry and fruit tarts.
