Description
Sancerre Blanc Skeveldra from Domaine Etienne et Sebastien Riffault is a white wine produced in the Loire region of France. This wine is made with Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown on white limestone soils.
The winemaking involves spontaneous fermentation with 50% of the botrytized grapes in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 36 months on the fine lees in old barriques, developing a complex structure and great maturity. This process gives the wine a unique and distinctive profile.
Sancerre Blanc Skeveldra has an intense aromatic bouquet, with notes of overripe fruit, botrytis and a marked minerality. On the palate, the wine is opulent and structured, with a perfect balance between freshness and maturity. The complexity and depth of the wine make it a fascinating and engaging tasting experience.
This wine pairs perfectly with fish-based dishes, shellfish and mature cheeses.
