Description
Sancerre Blanc Auksinis from Domaine Etienne et Sebastien Riffault is a white wine produced in the Loire region of France. This wine is made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown on clay-limestone soils.
The winemaking involves spontaneous fermentation with 50% of the botrytized grapes in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for 36 months on the fine lees in old barriques, giving the wine a complex structure and great maturity. This long refinement helps develop the unique characteristics of the wine.
Sancerre Blanc Auksinis presents a complex aromatic bouquet with notes of ripe fruit, botrytis and minerals. On the palate, it is opulent and structured, maintaining good tension and a balance between freshness and maturity. The minerality and characteristic notes of botrytis add depth and personality to the wine.
This wine pairs perfectly with fish dishes, seafood and mature cheeses.
