Description
Sancerre Blanc Akmèniné from Domaine Etienne et Sebastien Riffault is a white wine produced in the Loire region of France. Made with Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown on clay-limestone soils, this wine expresses the unique character of the terroir. The vineyards have an average age of 30 years.
Winemaking begins with spontaneous fermentation, using 30% of the botrytized grapes, in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for 36 months on the fine lees in old barriques. This long refinement gives the wine a complex structure and great maturity.
The Sancerre Blanc Akmèniné presents a rich aromatic bouquet, with notes of ripe fruit and a hint of botrytis that adds depth. On the palate, the wine is opulent and structured, with a good balance between freshness and maturity. The complexity and evolutionary potential of this wine make it particularly fascinating.
This wine pairs perfectly with oysters, seafood and goat cheeses.
