Description
Colosi's Salina Rosso comes to life on the Aeolian island of Salina, in the charming town of Capo Faro.
It is obtained from a blend in equal parts between the Nerello Cappuccio and Nerello Mascalese grapes harvested between the second and third ten days of September. A traditional fermentation in red follows a 6-month passage in large barrels completed by a further 6 months of aging in stainless steel tanks.
Intense ruby red wine with garnet nail, it gives the nose delicious notes of ripe cherry and spices such as vanilla and black pepper. The palate is warm and harmonious, with good persistence.
Perfect in combination with red meat dishes and tasty cheeses, it is exalted with game.
