Description
Montecoco is a wine from Cantine Due Palme, located in the Cellino San Marco area, in the province of Brindisi. The company, founded in 1989, produces wines from typical Salento grapes, such as Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera, Primitivo and Susumaniello. The vines are cultivated with Alberello Pugliese, the method of cultivation of the plant typical of this region. The name derives from a district near Cellino.
Montecoco is produced from Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes, harvested in September and vinified in thermoregulated horizontal rotary vats for 14 days, and then aged in barriques for 6 months.
In the glass, the wine appears ruby red in colour with purple nuances. The nose opens on aromas of plum, blackberries, wild strawberries, with toasted notes. The taste is warm and full-bodied, well balanced.
Ideal in combination with baked pasta, baked stuffed vegetables and roasts.
