Description
The Salice Salentino di Notte Rossa derives from vineyards located in the heart of the homonymous protected designation of origin.
It is mainly obtained from Negroamaro grapes and from Malvasia Nera di Brindisi grapes, harvested in the second half of September. After a maceration at controlled temperature of about 10 days, fermentation in steel with selected yeasts follows. The wine ages in French oak barrels for 6 months before being bottled.
It has a bright ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose recalls fruity hints of cherry and plum, accompanied by notes of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it is robust and ready to drink, characterized by a marked freshness at the end of the mouth.
Excellent with cured meats and aged cheeses, it goes well with tasty and robust first courses.
