Description
This red wine from Borgo dei Trulli is made from Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes and is born in vineyards located in Apulia, in the province of Brindisi.
The grapes are harvested by hand at the end of September, to then be destemmed and vinified as a whole grape. The grapes of the two vines are fermented together in thermo-regulated steel tanks for 8–10 days. Malolactic fermentation is then induced, followed by ageing in steel for 80% of the wine, while the remaining 20% is aged in tonneaux for 8 months.
Intense purplish red colour, the nose reveals aromas of black currant, vanilla and chocolate, as well as earthy notes. The sip is silky and elegant, the finish is well balanced and persistent.
Perfect with pasta, even stuffed, topped with classic ragout and grilled red meats.
