Description
Leone De Castris' Maiana Bianco comes from the vineyards located in the Salice Salentino area, in the province of Lecce.
This wine is obtained exclusively from Chardonnay grapes harvested during the first ten days of August. After a short maceration and a soft pressing, the must is left to settle at 10 ° C for about 12 hours. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 14-16 ° C, after which it ages on the fine lees for 3 months and then at least 30 days in the bottle.
Leone De Castris' Maiana Bianco has a straw yellow color. The nose gives floral notes enriched with hints of exotic fruit. In the mouth it proves fresh and balanced, with a good final aromatic persistence.
Perfect in combination with appetizers and seafood first courses, it is also excellent for aperitifs with friends or with oriental dishes such as sushi.
