Description

Punta Aquila is the 100% Primitivo produced by Tenute Rubino and coming from vineyards located in the Brindisi area.

With 70 quintals of yield per hectare and a manual harvest carried out during the first days of September, the must ferments in steel and undergoes a maceration of 15 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is further refined in wood for five months and 4 months in wooden vats, before remaining in the bottle for up to six months.

Ruby color tending to garnet, it has the typical hints of black fruits such as blackberries and blueberries on the nose, with elegant hints of cherries and currants. Pleasant notes of tertiaries such as tobacco, cocoa and pepper complete a balanced palate, with elegant tannins and extreme softness. In the mouth it remains enveloping without losing acidity, maintaining freshness and long persistence.

Ideal in combination with aged cheeses, it goes well with first courses with game and pork sauces and all grilled meats.
