Description
The Àpulo Rosso of Masseria Altemura is a wine obtained mainly from Primitivo grapes that tells the name, the label but above all in its organoleptic characteristics the extraordinary Apulian terroir of Salento.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel containers at controlled temperature for about 7 days. A maceration of the same duration follows in order to extract the greatest amount of color, aroma and polyphenolic substances contained in the skins. The wine ages for about 3 months in steel and for a further period in the bottle.
From the intense ruby red color with purple nail, the nose is an explosion of plum in jam and black cherry, reached by delicate notes of vanilla and cinnamon. Enveloping and round on the palate, it reveals a wine of beautiful freshness and long persistence.
Suitable in combination with tasty first courses, it goes well with roasted meats, grilled meats and lightly aged cheeses.
