Description
This Negroamaro was born inside the Masseria Altemura estate, owned by the Zonin family, from vineyards located in the splendid Salento area of Agro di Torre Santa Susanna.
Produced exclusively with Negroamaro grapes, meticulously harvested by hand, this wine, after the pressing and maturing phases, completes the vinification by resting for at least 12 months in small oak barrels, followed by a further period of bottle aging.
It has a deep ruby red color. The nose opens with a broad and intense aroma of blackberries, cherries and ripe red fruit, well supported by a sweet spice of coffee, chocolate and licorice. In the mouth it proves sapid, round and very balanced, with a good body and a bewitching fruity component in the finish.
It marries divinely with typical local red grilled meats, seasoned and blue cheeses.
