Salento IGP Vermentino 2023 Masseria Borgo dei Trulli

The Vermentino by Borgo dei Trulli is a white wine from Vermentino grapes that is born in vineyards located in Apulia, in the province of Lecce.

The grapes are harvested by hand at the end of September, to then be destemmed and undergo a cryomaceration in contact with the skins for about 12 hours. The grapes are then softly pressed and the must left to ferment in steel vats for approx. 10 days with the help of selected yeasts. The wine is aged for 3 months in steel at a controlled temperature.

Straw yellow in colour, the nose reveals aromas of peach, mango, lemon peel and dried grass. The taste is fresh and mineral.

Perfect as an aperitif, it goes well with first courses with white and fish sauces and with grilled white meats.
