Description
The red wine of the Conti Zecca company was born in Puglia, in Salento, where the Zecca family has lived for centuries. The wine is produced in one of the Conti Zecca properties, the Cantalupi estate.
The wine is produced from Primitivo grapes and other red vines. The grapes are destemmed and softly pressed. The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, with a maceration on the skins for 8 days. The wine then ages in concrete tanks.
Intense ruby red in colour, the wine offers the nose aromas of ripe red fruit such as cherry and strawberry, as well as delicate spicy notes. The sip is warm and soft, with a good structure and a fairly persistent finish.
The wine goes well with roasts, grilled red meats and aged cheeses.
