Description
Borgo dei Trulli red wine is produced from Negroamaro grapes and is born in vineyards located in the province of Taranto.
The grapes are harvested by hand at the end of September, to then be destemmed and vinified as a whole grape. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in thermo-regulated steel tanks and lasts for 8–10 days. Malolactic fermentation is then induced, followed by ageing on the yeasts in thermo-regulated steel tanks.
Ruby red in colour with purple reflections, the nose reveals aromas of plum, wild strawberry and black pepper, as well as notes of nutmeg and licorice. The sip is full-bodied, with well-balanced tannins and a persistent finish.
Excellent in combination with white meats and grilled vegetables, lamb and legume soups.
