Description
This red wine is produced by Château Lalande-Borie and is named after its founder Jean Eugene Borie. The vineyards extend for 25 hectares on the left side of St. Julien.
The Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot Cabernet Franc grapes are vinified by parcel in thermo-regulated steel vats, where the malolactic fermentation also takes place. 25% of the aging takes place in new French oak barrels for approx. 12 months.
Intense ruby red color, the nose opens with a bouquet of red and black fruits in addition to spicy notes. The sip is structured, with round and elegant tannins and a persistent finish.
Ideal in combination with roast beef, pork loin or stewed meats, including game.
