Description
Château Gruaud Larose is a renowned Saint-Julien estate that extends for 82 hectares, where Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes are grown, which reflect the essence and complexity of this prestigious wine-growing area.
The harvest takes place manually with careful selection of the grapes. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats at a controlled temperature of 24-26°C, with maceration for 20-30 days. Refines for 18 months in French oak barrels.
Intense ruby red in colour, it offers intense aromas of wild fruit, cherry and cassis on the nose, with hints of liquorice. On the palate it is a full-bodied, deep and concentrated wine, with ripe tannins and a long-lasting finish.
It goes very well with red meats, noble poultry and game, but also with grilled vegetables.
