Description
Château Léoville Poyferré was born in vineyards located in the heart of the AOC Saint-Julien, in the renowned wine-growing region of Bordeaux, France.
It is obtained from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place, with cold maceration, in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages in French oak barriques for about 18-20 months.
Garnet red in color, Château Léoville Poyferré opens to the nose with intense aromas of red fruits, enriched with notes of vanilla, cocoa and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is fresh and fruity, with consistent tannins and a pleasantly persistent finish.
This red wine is perfect to accompany roasted, braised and game-based red meat dishes.
