Description

The Saint-Joseph "Vignes de l'Hospice" by E. Guigal is a wine that stands out for its elegance and power, thanks to its location close to the famous hill of the "Bessards" in Hermitage. This wine represents the embodiment of the inspiration and legacy of centuries of viticulture on an exceptional terroir.

It is produced with pure Syrah grapes, coming from vineyards aged between 20 and 80 years located on very steep granite slopes. Winemaking involves the control of alcoholic fermentations with temperatures up to 33°C. The aging takes place in new oak barrels for approximately 30 months.

At sight, it has a dark red robe. On the nose, it offers a complex aroma dominated by black fruits and delicate aromas of new wood. On the palate, the attack is powerful, with strong but fine and elegant tannins. This wine has the typical finesse of its denomination and the power of the Hermitage, just across the river.

Perfect to accompany red meats, game and cheeses.
