Description

The Saint-Joseph Rouge by E. Guigal is a wine that stands out for its small black fruits and noble tannins, which excellently represent this emerging appellation from the Northern Rhône. This wine is the result of the care in refinement and the meticulous selection and assembly work carried out by Marcel and Philippe Guigal, maintaining constant excellence.

It is produced with pure Syrah grapes, coming from vineyards aged between 20 and 50 years located mainly in the municipalities of Tournon, Mauves and Sarras. The winemaking involves manual harvesting and selection of the grapes, with alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats at high temperatures. The refinement takes place in wood, in second rotation barrels for approximately 24 months.

At sight, it has a dark red appearance with purple reflections. On the nose, it offers a powerful aroma dominated by red fruits and delicate woody aromas. In the mouth, the attack is frank and fruity, with rather round and soft tannins.

Perfect to accompany red meats and cheeses.
