Saint-Estèphe AOC Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel 2021 Château Lilian Ladouys

The origins of Château Lilian Ladouys date back to 1564, when the property was a fiefdom of Jacques de Bercoyan, lord of Lafite. It was then acquired by the Lorenzetti family and from 2018 it became an important name in the Saint-Estèphe appellation, so much so that 2 years later it was consecrated Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel.

Cultivated varieties include Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The harvest is manual, followed by a careful selection of the bunches. The vats are filled solely by gravity. Following a cold pre-fermentation maceration and classic red vinification, refinement takes place for 12 months in partially new barrels.

The wine stands out for its elegant ruby red color and a wide aromatic range based on red fruit, spices and incense, with hints of bitter cocoa. In the mouth it is opulent and velvety, with a beautiful structure and great persistence.

It is excellent paired with veal chops or roast turkey.
