Description
The Château Haut-Marbuzet, located in a privileged position between the renowned châteaux Cos d'Estournel and Montrose, is an excellent estate in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of Bordeaux. With an extension of 61 hectares that traces the Gironde estuary and reaches the gravelly reliefs of Marbuzet and the Long Treytin plateau, a unique and suitable position for the cultivation of the Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes that compose it.
The vinification takes place traditionally in red with fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature. The refinement takes place in new oak barrels, a practice that gives notable richness and complexity to the wine.
The color is deep ruby red. The nose is a potpourri of floral notes, enriched by fruity, woody and spicy notes. On the palate it is soft and expressive thanks to the predominance of Merlot grapes in the blend, a characteristic that distinguishes it from the traditional Saint-Estèphe which are instead more austere.
It is perfect to accompany intense dishes based on game, beef or lamb.
